Latest May 2020 Update for Windows 10 reportedly broken Fresh Start Feature

Fresh Start is basically a feature that allows users to start their system while they face off corruption of system file or the OS gone awry somehow. In order to so so, the Windows 10 actually includes two feature named as Fresh Start or Reset, however, a new feature is also included named Cloud Reset after relase of Windows 10 May 2020 update.

Talking more about the Fresh Start feature, this is quite different from Reset this PC feature, and Fresh Start option includes more valuables for computers that come with some bloatware or crapware. Using this feature, the users can re-install the operating system directly from server controlled by microsoft, and thus it helps the users to eliminate any unnecessary applications.

The addition of Windows 10 Cloud Reset is now added after May 2020 update for Windows 10, however it’s somehow different from Fresh Start and don’t removes any bloatware applications loaded by device manufacturers.

In order to access the Fresh Start feature to take its benefits, users just requore to navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security. Under this application, the users will have to click on Device Performance & Health and choose Additional to manage the Fresh Start option.

Fresh Start Feature Broken After May 2020 Update For Windows 10

As per the reports from many users, the aforementioned feature however seems broken after the system is updated with Windows 10 version 2004 update. In case if the user click on Advanced Info button, it opens a Microsoft support document in browser.

And if the user requires the Fresh Start feature on their machine, they will have to download and install the tool manually from official website of Microsoft. Since it’s mentioned that Fresh Start and Cloud Reset, both have many similarities among them, still the Fresh Start can be useful for those whose device come with bloatware and crapware applications. However, there’s no confirmation from the Microsoft regarding Cloud Reset is indeed a replacement for Fresh Start with new Windows 10 May 2020 update.
