Google adds new information cards to its Search results
Google announced today a new feature to the search engine, allowing the users to bring up an additional info card for each site they visit as a search result. These cards will be helpful in providing additional information about the site before taking any actions such as clicks and downloads from it.
So, the Mountain-viewed based giant practices that the users will now get the right information about their search results and will have not to perform any other Google Search for the same. Users can simply click on three- dot button for each search result to open the pop-up card that will show the website’s show, its content and its security level and all.
Wikipedia will be the source for the information because, as per Google, “Wikipedia’s open editing model, which relies on thousands of global volunteers to add content,” provides the updated information of the websites. This information includes the Wikipedia descriptions, job listing and local business listings.
Additionally, the users will see the descriptions on the source of such information about the site. Also, the users can easily check if the site is secure – based on HTTPS protocol. In all, the new info cards will provide the users all necessary information and help them to take an informed decision.
At current, the feature is rolling out for US users only. This feature will work on all mobiles, desktop, and Google App on Android. Since it is in its beta version, it will work only in English language at present.
