Microsoft releases the February 2021 non-security Office updates
February 2021 non-security updates to Microsoft Office have now been available. Microsoft released the updates with various improvements and fixes for issues and crashes.
Three of the updates apply to the Microsoft Office 2016, Microsoft 2013 and Microsoft Office 2010 software suites and while four other addresses the PowerPoint and Outlook app issues.
The issues Windows Installer (MSI) editions of Office 2016, Office 2013 and Office 2010 products have now been addressed.
Also, the PowerPoint crashing issue while opening documents containing diagrams now has been fixed with multiple updates (KB4493164, KB4493169, and KB4493179).
The issue with Outlook app where the Outlook reminders behave suspiciously when the time zones are changed regularly has been fixed with KB4493190 update.
You can manually install the February 202`1 update from the Download Center or by using the Microsoft update service. Never forget to reboot the computer once the installation is complete.
When the Office starts misbehaving after the update, kindly uninstall it using these steps:
- Search for View Installed Updates on the search bar and press enter,
- In the list of updates, find the offending update and select Uninstall.
