Windows 10 Update: Microsoft Released First Windows 10 21H1 Preview Build
Windows 10 first 21H1 preview build is released by Microsoft today.
As per the reports, the tech giant Microsoft has released its first Windows 10 21H1 preview build 20150. This new build is actually released to Insiders on the Dev channel.
Actually, the Microsoft has released the Windows 10 version 2004 last month, and released a Windows Insider 20H2 build recently as well on the Beta chyannel. The company is now offering the 21H1 development branch to Insiders on the Dev ring.
Well, it seems you are quite unfamiliar with the new channel names, actually, the Microsoft has overhauled the Windows Insider program recently in order to move away from rings to channels as included under the list below:
- Fast Ring is now Dev Channel.
- Slow Ring is now Beta Channel
- Release Preview Ring is now Release Preview Channel
Those Insiders who are in the Dev channel can upgrade their system with latest update by checking through Windows Update option and checking for new updates.
Although, the releases by Microsoft have mostly the fixes, the company is also rolling out some new functions for its Windows Subsystem for Linux which allow users to configure it from the command line and utilize Linux based applications that use GPU.
As per reports, the company is also rolling out a search feature fr Default apps settings screen using which the user can quickly search and find an extension for which they can change the default application.
Previously, this feature when tested, was found very sluggish leading to significant delays specially while the system has a lot of configured extensions. However, with the new released version, the Microsoft states that they have improved the performance of aforementioned feature.
