MS Teams “Together Mode” Enables Same Room Feelings For A Meeting

With the new feature called “Together Mode”, users can feel like they are working together in office or conference room.

Since most of the people nowadays are working from their home due to Covid-19 pandemic, it’s obvious for those home-working people to fee a bit disconnected from their office mates. To fulfill such needs, an update of Microsoft Teams, which is expected to release this year later, will try to include a new feature enabling users with new view modes for conference or meetings. Such a newly reported mode in Teams is “Together Mode” that puts users along with their co-workers in a virtual room together.

Speaking more about this feature “Together Mode” is actually a new meeting experience in Teams which uses Automatic Intelligence segmentation technology to place participants digitally in a shared background. Enabling this feature probably makes the users feel they are virtually sitting in a room with other users for meetings or class and so on. Through introducing this feature, the Microsoft goals to make it easier for users to attend their meetings with all other participants and take visual cues and see who is there talking with them.

According to Microsoft officials, The Together Mode auditorium mode is soon to roll out and the users can expect to see it later in August this year. Even more of the mode views are being planned to be introduced later on including coffee shop view, and many more.

Apart from just Together Mode, the company also has planned to introduce a new “Dynamic View” that allows meeting presenters to take control over what contents the participants are viewing. This feature also uses Automatic Intelligence through which the meetings optimize shared contents. Even more new controls will be added that includes ability to show shared content side by side, also let the users to personalize the view according to their requirements.

This new “Dynamic View” is supposed to roll out in Microsoft Teams later this year. It will be added in the Microsoft’s gallery view and lets the users to see more other users on screen at the same time, and it’s expected to be launched in August.
