iOS 14.0.1 update released with a fix of default mail and browser apps
Apple has released first iOS 14.0.1 update last week. This update brings changes in the default app settings, Wi-Fi connectivity, home screen widgets and more. Also, it provides a bug fix for the issue on the operating system since the release of iOS 14.
The bug resulted in Safari and Mail being restored as a user’s default browser ad email apps after a restart, despite the changes made. Now with the iOS14 update released, users can configure a default browser and mail client on their iPad and iPhone.
To enable a default browser or email app, you need to go into the settings and search for the app that you wish to use. In the app’s settings, you can tap on the Default Browser App settings to configure the default browsers for iOS.
In addition to the bug fix, iOS14 update fixes the poor performances and connectivity issues that users have been reporting since the release of iOS14.0.1.
