Cisco offers free 90-day Webex Licenses for Coronavirus

For the ones who got impacted by the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Cisco enhanced its free Webex accounts and offering free 90 days business licenses.

The enhanced feature to the account makes it easier to work from home. Previously, The Webex accounts allow users to host meetings with up to 50 participants for 40 minutes. Now, with the offer, they can host up to 100 participants and also there is no such limitation of time. The users can enjoy the service for unlimited time.

The Cisco also offered toll dial-in numbers in addition to the normal VoIP capabilities: Effective immediately, we’ve expanded the capabilities on our free Webex offer in all countries where it is available, not only those impacted by COVID-19, Cisco stated.

The Cisco’s statement confirming about free 90 days licenses for businesses:

“Additionally, through our partners and the Cisco sales team, we are providing free 90-day licenses to businesses who are not Webex customers in this time of need. We’re also helping existing customers meet their rapidly changing needs as they enable a much larger number of remote workers by expanding their usage at no additional cost.”

This free webex account is available for the countries include “Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE (United Arab Emirates), Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.”

Other companies, such as twitter are asking employees to work remotely even on the areas that are not impacted by the viruses:

 “Beginning today, we are strongly encouraging all employees globally to work from home if they’re able. Our goal is to lower the probability of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus for us – and the world around us. We are operating out of an abundance of caution and the utmost dedication to keeping our Tweeps healthy,” Twitter said.
