How To Remove RadianceChecked From Mac

Simple Steps To Terminate Advertising Software

RadianceChecked is an unwanted application that silently infiltrates the Mac computers and then performs a series of malicious activities in the background. When this hijacker enters your Mac, you will notice modifications in your default browser’s settings such as search engine and homepage replacement. Besides, you may also see some suspicious extensions, toolbars, plug-ins, etc. injected on the compromised web platform. The purpose of all these changes and injections is to perform regular ad-generation and page-redirects to affiliated websites, and generate the pay-per-click and page-per-view income. Although, it’s not a dangerous virus, presence of this infection may still lead to some unkind issues.

RadianceChecked will bombard your screen with tons of intrusive advertisements in forms of banners, pop-ups, in-texts, blinking messages, etc. that will appear on each web page you land on. Every time you click on these adverts, the program developers get paid a small bit of money. Moreover, with every redirect caused by the hijacker on the sponsored websites, these people earn profits. Many people may regard such apps as viruses but this is not right. It is far from being a virus and cannot harm the PC in the same way a real virus or malware can do.

Despite not being a damaging computer infection, RadianceChecked can still put your Mac security at high risk. That’s because it can display misleading ads which upon clicked, may redirect you to potentially dangerous sites with all sorts of spiteful materials. If you’re not careful enough and interact with a deceptive ad shown by the adware, you may find yourself on a malware-laden site which would be hosting parasites like Trojans, spyware, worms, ransomware, etc. Hence, no matter how attractive these ads are, just keep away from them and remove RadianceChecked from the Mac as early as possible.

Distribution Of Browser-based Infections:

Some common PUP distribution techniques are freeware bundling, fake software updaters and installers, misleading ads and links, infected torrent files, etc. Users often get intruded by such threats when they download and install unsafe software, clicking on deceptive online content, install free apps which contain additional programs in their installers, and do on. With this in mind, you need to pay close attention to the contents you interact with while browsing the web. Never rely on third-party channels to download or update software and choose official or verified sources only. In addition, instead of going for a Quick install, we recommend opting for the Custom or Advanced setting in order to see and untick the boxes next to any needless programs.
