Simple Steps To Delete FG69 ransomware From Computer
FG69 ransomware is found to gbe a vicious computer infection or a threat that technically belongs to Matrix ransomware family. Alike all its prior strains, FG69 ransomware is also prone of encrypting files, renaming them and generating a ransom note on computer which tries to scare users. During the encryption, all files are renamed and appended with a new file extension. The victims are expected to see a pattern as new extension that includes email address, string characters, and .FG69 file extension. Means, the users are expected to have their files inaccessible in no time. Finally, a text file based ransom note is also injected on computer which is named as FG69_README.rtf. This file is actually placed within every infected folder and desktop of computer and depicts the following message to users.

Reading through the ransom note message,it simply tells about its done encryption over targeted files using AES and RSA cryptography. Also, it incldues some instructions that states how to purchase a decryption software from devs behind this virus. They are actually asked to write an email developers with provided email details, and mention to include unique ID in the message. Also, victims are instructed to attach up to 3 small sized encrypted files against of which the criminals claim to send back decrypted one and decryption details. The users are supposed to receive details regarding how to pay ransom fee to receive decryption tools, and even more information.
Should you pay ransom fee?
Technically, there’s no available third party tools which can decrypt files by FG69 ransomware. But, it’s also not recommended to pay to hackers as this payment just leads the users to get scammed. Even after the demanded payment is made, they will receive no decryption tool or key from hackers. Thus, it’s highly advised to make no trust over criminals, no matters whatever they claim. However, dealing with the issues on an infected computer is also necessary. If not, then possibly the victims are expected to suffer high potential data loss. The better is, that users should seek help of some guidelines to detect and delete FG69 ransomware and restore encrypted files using own backups. For detailed information, keep reading this article.
FG69 ransomware mostly gets installed through malspam campaigns.
As mostly noticed in cases studies by security researchers, FG69 ransomware is spread often through malspam campaigns. Apart from this, the threat is even circulated through third party trojans, fake software updating tools, unreliable files, software download sources, and many more. In almost all these cases, the victims are somehow tricked to download/install some object on their machine which has hidden malicious codes. Once such objects are interacted, the malicious code runs in background to connect local machine to remote server. Further, the ransomware files are downloaded and secretly installed without any prior notice. Thus, the malware manage to encrypt files, and deploy ransom note to ask users to do payment sooner.
Prevention and removal tricks
To prevent computers against intruders like FG69 ransomware or identical ones, the users are highly suggested to be cautious all the time. Specially, if they are connected to web, they should avoid clicking any suspicious advertisements, malicious links, email attachments, noxious online sources, and many more. Technically, the cyber crime master minds may employ a number of possible tricks to make users interacting with unsafe sources. And if you are not cautious against those, you may end up to suffer any time. While installing some freeware or shareware installer packages, do make sure to check and follow Advanced/custom installation mode.
Although, it’s really a touch task to deal with FG69 ransomware and its impacts on computer without a valid decryption key, still users should not do as per suggested by criminals. it’s already discussed above that why a users should not pay ransom fee to seek criminal’s help. Rather, it’s suggested to check and follow some guidelines to detect and remove FG69 ransomware along with all its files completely. To restore files, it will be safer to try out your own backup files or some alternative methods explained below.
