ExtendedSprint bombards your system screen with thousands of annoying ads all over the day that makes your online sessions very complex. These ads can be shown as banners, pop-ups, surveys, recommended search results, and so on. Once clicked, either of them could redirect to potentially dangerous sites where social-engineering tricks could be utilized to trick you into downloading additional PUPs, or even malware, submitting personal details and so on. Your sensitive data such as bank account and credit card details could be misused by the scammers for deceptive transactions or purchases that may result in huge financial loss for.

Search engine promoted by ExtendedSprint doesn’t generate any results itself. It redirects to a legitimate search provider (Google, Bing, Yahoo) depending on your geolocation. If a suspicious URL is opened each time you open your preferred browser or type in something into the URL bar, your browser has been hijacked. This notorious adware monitors your online actions and collects browsing-related data such as entered search queries, URLs of accessed sites, IP addresses, geolocation etc. These details are then sold to commercial content creators and are very helpful for generating personalized advertisements.

ExtendedSprint changes the settings of registry editors by making spiteful entries in it which allows the PUP to get automatically activated with each device startup. It messes with vital system files that are essential for smooth computer functioning and prevents many running apps as well as drivers from working normally. It keeps performing malicious acts in the background all the time which consume huge amount of memory resources and drag down the overall computer performance severely. It can be avoided by opting for the Advanced or Custom installation settings and declining to install untrustworthy application.

Another way that adware infections are delivered is through deceptive ads. Some ads might claim that your Adobe Flash Player is outdated and urge you to install it or that your device is infected with some dangerous virus, and the only way to get rid of it is to install promoted software. You should keep in mind that no website is able to determine whether your software is out of date, and they can’t spot virus infections. Please don’t fall for such tricks.
